You’re invited to join the Scorpion Silent Reading Society! 

Hosted by the Marydean Martin Writers' Project and the University Library, the Scorpion Silent Reading Society meets in the Marydean Martin Library (2nd floor, Rogers Student Center) on the first Monday of each month from 11 am – 1pm throughout the 2025–2026 academic year, except for the month of January. 

What to expect: 

• Bring your own book or find a new book that we provide for free through Nevada State’s Common Read, One Book Henderson, or the Scorpion Book Swap. 
• Light refreshments will be served. 

This event is open to all Nevada State community members and the public. Parking at Nevada State University is free.
