New Student Orientation is designed for first-year students who will begin their collegiate experience at Nevada State University. The New Student Orientation students will:

• Build connections with the college community
• Engage with campus resources
• Experience the student life of a true Scorpion

Attending orientation is mandatory for all first-year students. In addition to attending one of the New Student Orientation dates, first-year students MUST attend the Scorpion Smart Start from August 19 to August 21. More information on this event will be provided to students via email. Students will continue to receive reminders until they have completed registration for both events.
